Mon Jun 8	Drink Donations Due Store in First Aid Shed We kindly ask each family to donate drinks for our snack bar for our home swim meets. Thank you for helping support our team! Last names A–H: 1 case of water 1 case of soda Soda choices must be ONLY: Coke, Dr Pepper, Sprite, Diet Coke, or Orange soda. Please no store-brand beverages or other flavors. Last names I–Z: 1 case of water 20oz bottle of Gatorade Please place all donations neatly inside the First Aid shed. Thank you for your support!
Mon Jun 8	Morning Practice Begins - click VIEW ALL above for details Start: 9:00 AM End: 11:30 AM All swimmers will be assigned their pod during the first two weeks of practice. Go HERE to find out your swimmers pod. Monday-Thursday (June 8-July 9) 9-10:30am Beluga and Killer Whales 10:30-11:15am Baby Whales 10:30-11:30am Orca and Humpback Whales Every Friday (June 12-July10) 9:30-11:00am All swimmers, All pods Practice times will be adjusted July 13 - July 17 for Time Trials.
Thu Jun 4	Inner Squad Time Trials - All Swimmers - click VIEW ALL above for details Start: 6:00 PM End: 7:30 PM Warm-up begins at 6:00 PM. Coaches will organize swimmers into events to record reference times. We will be using the starter and work on starts. We need 5 volunteer timers. No sign-up required, please check in with Heather upon arrival, and a stopwatch will be provided.
Tue Jun 2	Parent Meeting Start: 6:00 PM End: 6:20 PM (estimated) Please join us for a parent meeting to receive more information regarding the season and meet the coaches. It is not required to attend both meetings.

Sat Jul 19 2025	Swim Team Banquet at Maple Valley Start: 5:00 PM End: 9:00 PM All swimmers and their families, grandparents included, are welcome to attend the banquet to celebrate the swimmers accomplishments. Dinner will be served along with drinks and cake. Homemade desserts are always welcome. The awards ceremony will be held after dinner. Adults 12 years and older will be $14 ea, child 5-11 years old will be $9 ea, children 4 years and younger are free. Payment may be made by cash, check or Venmo @MVKillerWhales and given to Heather or Stacy. Please RSVP here for this event no later than July 14. We hope to see everyone there!
Sat Jul 19 2025	Championships Western Family YMCA, 2600 Capitol Tr, Newark, DE 19711 Start: 9:00 AM Warm-up: 7:30 AM All swimmers who placed in the top 16 in Time Trials will swim in Championships! This is a great meet! Swimmers arrive at 7:15am(or earlier) for warm-up at 7:30am. Look for our team location, maybe ask the front gate for a map of teams locations. Entry Fees: (competing swimmers free) Ages 10 & Over, with program: $3.00 Ages 7-10, no program: $1.00 Ages 6 & Under: Free Extra Program(s): $2.00 ea. General Admission w/out program: $2.00 Cash Only Swimmers find the MV canopy and sit with the team. Bring a canopy and chairs. Stay in the shade. TIMERS NEEDED - Please sign up on the signup genius (will be posted at a later date) so the league is aware that all jobs are accounted for.
Wed Jul 16 2025	Time Trials 13-18 Skyline Swim Club, 2901 Skyline Dr, Wilmington, DE 19808 Start: 4:30 PM Warm-up: 3:20 PM End: 8:30 PM (estimated) Coaches will post event requests the first week in July and will be due by Friday, July 4 at 12:00pm. Swimmers 13-18 years old will swim up to (3) events. All swimmers are expected to participate as this gives them an excellent opportunity to swim against the other teams in the league. Qualifying times are not required. We see many swimmers do their best times because it is an exciting meet. We are required to provide (2) volunteers for this meet. A Sign-Up Genius will be posted or linked here. Volunteers can work the first half or second half of the meet. Entry Fees: (competing swimmers free) Ages 10 & Over, with program: $3.00 Ages 6-10, no program: $1.00 Ages 6 & Under: Free Extra Program(s): $2.00 ea. General Admission w/out program: $2.00 Cash Only A canopy will be set up in the field. Parents and swimmers bring chairs and a canopy if you have one, and plan to sit with the swimmers. There will be chairs by the pool to watch your swimmers race. Any swimmers who place in the top 16 in that event will advance to Championships on 7/19. Rain date: Thursday 7/17 and will be announced when necessary. TIMERS NEEDED - Please sign up on the signup genius so the league is aware that all jobs are accounted for.
